Planned Gifts

By making a gift through your estate you can ensure HOSTS for HOSPITALS continuing
to help patient-patient-families and society into the future.

“Thank you so much, the generosity and support of your hosts and program may have save my life! At 76 years of age this was a major event in my life, and you enabled it to be done at the ‘Best” hospital by the “Best” surgeon.

My wife was at my side every minute. Since we do not have children we had to do it together,
And we did it! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.”

Patient Todd from Florida,
who was a guest in 2019 while receiving care from
Dr. Carol Shields of Wills Eye Hospital

Four ways you can make a planned gift to HOSTS for HOSPITALS:

1.  Bequests

Bequests can be a percentage of the remainder of your estate or a specific dollar amount.
You can also make your bequest contingent upon the death of your spouse or other beneficiary.
Sample language for making a bequest:

“I give, devise, and bequeath to Gift of Life Family House, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization located at 326 Conshohockin St. Rd. #2, Gladwyne, PA 19035, EIN 23-3038412 or its successor-in-interest, (insert dollar amount or percentage) for its unrestricted use and purposes.”

2.  Charitable Gift Annuities (CGA)

In return for your irrevocable gift to us of cash or stock, we agree to pay you an annuity (a fixed rate of return) over your lifetime. The annuity can also include your spouse or other beneficiary. Annuity rates are based on the age of the person receiving the annuity.

You may be entitled to receive a tax deduction for your gift the year it was made, and there may be other tax benefits if your gift included appreciated assets. Annuity payments may be partially tax-free.

3.  Life Insurance Policies

Name us as a beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy by completing a beneficiary designation form provided by your insurer.

4.  IRAS and other Qualified Retirement Plans

Designate us to receive all or part of your IRA or another qualified retirement plan.
